Experience: 20 to 30 years, with strong exposure to manufacturing Solid Oral and liquid oral formulations and handling production for regulated markets

We are looking for an accomplished AVP / Senior General Manager to lead end-to-end operations of a large pharmaceutical manufacturing facility. The role requires strong leadership in manufacturing of Oral Solids and Liquid Oral Formulations. The incumbent will be responsible for overall site performance, manufacturing delivery, quality compliance, cost control, people management, capacity expansion and readiness for global regulatory inspections.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead complete plant operations across Production, Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, EHS, Warehouse, PPIC, Purchase, Finance, HR and Administration.
- Ensure timely delivery of production plans in line with commercial forecasts, quality requirements and customer commitments.
- Drive manufacturing operations for oral dosage forms such as Tablets, Capsules, Soft Gels, Liquid orals,Suspension and Dry Syrups.
- Maintain continuous audit readiness for regulatory agencies such as USFDA, MHRA, TGA, ANVISA, WHO-GMP, MCC, INVIMA and other global regulatory bodies.
- Lead inspection management, remediation programs, CAPA implementation and compliance improvement initiatives.
- Manage site budgets, operational expenditure, CAPEX planning, cost optimization and productivity enhancement.
- Drive capacity expansion, new product introduction, technology transfer, scale-up and commercialization activities.
- Lead greenfield and brownfield projects, including equipment selection, installation, qualification, validation and commissioning.
- Ensure robust aseptic practices, contamination control strategy, media fills, sterilization validation, CIP/SIP, water systems and filtration processes.
- Implement digitalization and automation initiatives such as e-BMR, e-logbooks,



electronic QMS, AI-based visual inspection, automated inspection systems and centralized IPQC.
- Build, mentor and retain a high-performing workforce; manage a large employee base of 7001,200 personnel.
- Ensure compliance with statutory, legal, labour, safety and environmental requirements.
- Liaise with government authorities, regulatory agencies, consultants, auditors and international partners.
- Present daily, weekly and monthly MIS on production, quality, cost, safety, manpower and site performance to senior management.

Desired Candidate Profile

- B.Pharm / M.Pharm, preferably with additional qualification in Operations Management.
- 25 to 30 years of progressive experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing.
- At least 10 years in senior leadership roles such as Plant Head, Site Head, General Manager or equivalent.
- Strong experience in OSD and Liquid Orals
- Exposure to both regulated and semi-regulated markets is mandatory.
- Proven experience of handling USFDA, MHRA, ANVISA or equivalent regulatory inspections.
- Experience in greenfield projects, remediation, technology transfer and capacity expansion.
- Robust understanding of cGMP, quality systems, validation, aseptic operations, EHS and statutory compliance.
- Demonstrated ability to manage large teams and cross-functional departments.
- Exposure to contract manufacturing and international technical support will be an added advantage.
