About the Role

Skipper Limited is looking for an experienced Detailer with strong expertise in Transmission Structure Detailing, 3D Modelling, Engineering Documentation, and BOM Management. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with SolidWorks and a robust understanding of structural fabrication processes, manufacturability, and engineering standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. 3D Modelling & Engineering Documentation

- Develop detailed 3D models of transmission structures using SolidWorks (preferred).
- Create and maintain:
- Part Drawings
- Assembly Drawings
- Erection Drawings
- Fabrication Drawings

- Ensure compliance with engineering standards, drafting practices, and manufacturing requirements.
- Support design modifications and implementation of engineering change requests.

2. Mechanical Design & GD&T; Application

- Apply:
- Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T;)
- Welding Symbols
- Manufacturing Tolerances
- Surface Finish Requirements

- Perform tolerance stack-up analysis and fitment verification.
- Ensure design accuracy, manufacturability, and assembly feasibility.

3. Bill of Materials (BOM) & Component Engineering

- Create and maintain accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs) for manufacturing and procurement.
- Define component specifications and material requirements.
- Ensure accuracy and alignment between design models, drawings, and BOM structures.




- Support engineering documentation and revision control activities.

4. Fastener Selection & Structural Applications

- Select appropriate fasteners based on:
- Structural loading requirements
- Joint configurations
- Industry standards and specifications

- Validate fastener performance, safety factors, and assembly requirements.
- Support design optimization for ease of assembly, maintenance, and cost efficiency.

5. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Manufacturing Support

- Provide technical support to Production, Quality, Supply Chain, and Project teams.
- Review manufacturing feedback and implement design improvements.
- Participate in design reviews, process reviews, and customer-driven engineering initiatives.
- Ensure timely project execution while maintaining quality, cost, and delivery objectives.
