Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Mobile Test Automation Engineer to design, develop, and implement an automated testing framework for an Android-based Associate Helper chatbot application running on Zebra TC21/TC22 devices. The ideal candidate will have robust expertise in Appium-based mobile automation, Android testing, and enterprise handheld device validation. Experience testing AI/chatbot applications is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and build a scalable mobile automation framework using Appium.
- Develop and maintain automated test suites for Android applications on Zebra TC21/TC22 devices.
- Automate end-to-end business workflows, regression tests, and smoke tests.
- Validate chatbot functionality, user interactions, and conversational flows.
- Automate barcode scanner and DataWedge-based workflows.
- Execute tests on physical devices and troubleshoot automation failures.
- Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
- Create test reports, dashboards, and automation metrics.
- Collaborate with QA, Product, and Engineering teams to define automation strategy.
- Provide documentation, knowledge transfer, and best-practice recommendations.

Required Qualifications

- 5+ years of Test Automation experience.
- 3+ years of hands-on Appium experience.
- Strong experience testing Android mobile applications.
- Experience building automation frameworks from scratch.




- Proficiency in Java, Python, or JavaScript.
- Experience with Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, or PyTest.
- Strong understanding of Android debugging tools (ADB, Logcat, Appium Inspector).
- Experience with Git and source control practices.
- Experience integrating automation into Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions.
- Ability to work independently and drive automation initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications

- Hands-on experience with Zebra TC21 and TC22 devices.
- Experience with Zebra DataWedge integration and barcode scanner testing.
- Retail, warehouse, or enterprise handheld device testing experience.
- Experience testing chatbot or conversational applications.
- Familiarity with API testing and backend validation.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Nice to Have

- AI/LLM testing experience.
- Experience validating AI-generated responses and chatbot conversations.
- Familiarity with Botium, Promptfoo, LangSmith, DeepEval, or similar AI testing tools.
- Performance and reliability testing experience.
- Mobile device farm or cloud testing experience.
- Experience mentoring QA engineers and establishing automation standards.
