Our client is seeking an experienced Practice Director for Modernization Practice. This leader will be responsible for developing the practice strategy, building market presence, supporting business development, creating reusable modernization methodologies, and leading delivery of complex legacy modernization programs. The ideal candidate has successfully built or grown a modernization practice and has deep experience working with enterprise legacy systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the strategy for Practice.
- Build service offerings, methodologies, and reusable modernization accelerators.
- Lead business development efforts by supporting client meetings, solution development, proposals, and technical presentations.
- Build strategic partnerships with technology vendors and system integrators.
- Recruit, mentor, and lead a high-performing modernization team.
- Provide executive oversight for modernization engagements, ensuring successful delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Represent Serigor through industry events, thought leadership, and executive client engagements.
Qualifications
- 15+ years of experience in enterprise application or legacy modernization.
- Demonstrated success building or leading a modernization or similar practice or consulting organization.
- Strong experience with legacy enterprise technologies and contemporary cloud-based platforms.
- Experience leading large-scale modernization programs for government or enterprise clients.
- Proven business development, client relationship, and executive presentation skills.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to build a practice from the ground up.
Preferred Experience
- Mainframe modernization (COBOL, CICS, DB2, JCL, IMS, VSAM).
- .NET and Or Java background
- General understanding of architecture concepts
- AI-assisted software modernization tools and methodologies.
- Public sector and state government modernization programs.
