Purpose/Objective

"The Shift Engineer - Cluster - Ingot - I&W; Process ensures the effective operation of the ingot production process by optimizing key parameters such as pull speed, oxygen content, and crucible efficiency.
This role focuses on maintaining safety and compliance, troubleshooting issues, and driving process improvements to achieve high-quality ingots.
Additionally, the engineer is responsible for timely reporting and emergency response management, supporting operational excellence in the ingot production cluster.

Key Responsibilities of Role

Safety and Compliance: - Ensure compliance with safety procedures and environmental standards in the ingot production process.
Enforce safety protocols and work closely with the safety team to mitigate risks in the work environment.
Documentation and Reporting: - Ensure adherence to timelines for MIS preparation and report ingot production data accurately.
Timely and accurate completion of Management Information System (MIS) reports as per the set schedule.
Ingot Pull Speed: - Work on optimizing the ingot pull speed for ingots with different diameters.
Increase ingot pull speed by optimizing the ingot growth process, improving production efficiency.
Oxygen Control in Ingot: - Control the oxygen content in ingots by optimizing the crucible rotation speed.
Maintain oxygen content below target ppm to ensure high-quality ingots with minimal defects.
Crucible Efficiency: - Monitor and enhance crucible efficiency to ensure maximum production.




Achieve optimal utilization by producing ingots with minimal structural loss and maximizing hot hours per crucible.
Ingot Yield: - Optimize ingot growth processes to increase N-type ingot yield.
Work towards achieving a higher yield percentage by improving growth techniques and maintaining quality control.
Ingot Process Optimization: - Focus on optimizing ingot growth processes to achieve a specific diameter for P-type ingots.
Work with the engineering team to adjust process recipes and grow larger diameter ingots.
Emergency Response and Troubleshooting: - Lead rapid response efforts during equipment failures and emergencies.
Reduce downtime by implementing effective troubleshooting procedures and ensuring quick resolution of issues.

Qualifications and Experience

Educational Qualification: - Bachelor's degree in Engineering (e.

Work Experience (Range of years): - 2-5 Years of experience in managing semiconductor, silicon ingot production or process driven manufacturing ensuring efficient operation and adherence to quality standards.
