Purpose/Objective

The Machine Setter is responsible for complete mechanical and process setup of the SA 15 screw filling line, ensuring accurate configuration of technological tools, exchangeable parts, and ma-chine parameters for different shell types.
The role involves performing type changeovers (mechanical + electronic), precision setting, cali-bration, and functional validation of machines, while ensuring adherence to safety protocols in explosive environments.
The Machine Setter works as skilled personnel, supporting production by ensuring machines are correctly set, optimized, and ready for safe and effective operation.

Key Responsibilities of Role

1 Carry out complete mechanical setup of SA 15 line including mounting and alignment of exchangeable parts and technological tools for specific shell types.
2 Perform type changeover (mechanical + electronic) ensuring correct selection, installation, and validation of tools and parts.
3 Configure machine parameters and recipes in HMI according to shell type and technological requirements.
4 Ensure machines are in basic (home) position and ready for auto-start conditions prior to production.
5 Perform precision measurement and calibration (e.

, jaw positioning, dimensions, tolerances) to maintain product quality.




6 Support trial runs and ensure correct operation of filling, milling, conveyor, and explosive handling systems.
7 Inspect and verify proper functioning of hydraulic, electrical, steam, and control systems before production.
8 Coordinate with operators and ensure smooth handover of machine for production after setup.
9 Assist in troubleshooting during setup failures, alarms, or deviations and take corrective action.
10 Ensure strict compliance with safety procedures, PPE usage, and explosive handling protocols at all times.

Qualifications and Experience

Educational Qualification: Must: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Desirable : Basic knowledge of 5S / 7QC Tools Relevant Experience: Must: Diploma - Minimum of 3 years related experience Team Player.

Excellent Communication & Interpersonal Skills.
Desirable: Ammunition or related industry experience.
