We are looking for a Quality Control (QC) Engineer with experience in Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) to ensure the quality and integrity of fabricated components used in conveyor systems and bulk material handling equipment. The candidate will be responsible for inspection, testing, documentation, and ensuring compliance with quality standards and customer specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform and coordinate NDT inspections such as UT, MT, PT, RT, and VT as per project requirements.
- Inspect fabricated structures, welds, and conveyor components during various stages of manufacturing.
- Review welding procedures (WPS/PQR), material test certificates (MTC), and inspection reports.
- Prepare and maintain inspection reports, quality records, and NDT documentation.
- Coordinate with production, welding, and client inspection teams to ensure quality compliance.
- Raise NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports) and monitor corrective and preventive actions.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, customer specifications, and applicable industry standards.
- Support internal and external quality audits.
- Coordinate with third-party inspection agencies and customer representatives during inspections.
- Ensure measuring and testing instruments are calibrated and maintained.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of NDT methods: UT, MT, PT, RT, and VT.
- Good understanding of welding inspection and fabrication quality.
- Familiarity with conveyor systems, heavy fabrication, structural steel, or bulk material handling equipment.
- Ability to read engineering drawings, welding symbols, and fabrication standards.
- Knowledge of ASME, AWS, IS, or relevant international quality standards.
- Positive documentation and report preparation skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
Qualifications
- Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or Metallurgical Engineering.
- NDT Level II certification in one or more methods (UT/MT/PT/RT/VT) is mandatory.
- CSWIP 3.1 or equivalent Welding Inspector certification will be an added advantage.
Experience
- 3 to 8 years of experience in Quality Control and NDT inspection.
- Experience in conveyor manufacturing, heavy fabrication, material handling equipment, structural fabrication, or EPC projects is preferred.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and coordination abilities.
- Willingness to work at the manufacturing facility and travel for inspections if required.
