Role & responsibilities

1. Required operational & maintenance knowledge from ovens, mixers, conveyors, and packaging machinery to the overall electrical infrastructure of the plant.

2. Installing and maintaining automation systems, control panels, and PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) for improved control over production processes.

3. Identifying and diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and automation issues on production equipment and quickly implementing corrective actions.

4. Conducting root cause analysis (RCA) of recurring faults to prevent reoccurrence and improve system reliability.

5. Creating and executing preventive maintenance schedules for machinery, production lines, and equipment to minimize downtime.

6. Overseeing spare parts inventory, ensuring that critical components are always available to minimize downtime.

7. Ensuring that all maintenance activities comply with health, safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.

Developing budgets for maintenance activities and ensuring cost-effective solutions while maintaining high-quality standards.

9. Maintaining accurate records of all maintenance activities, including repairs, preventive actions, parts usage.

10. Monitoring and reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as equipment uptime, downtime, mean time to repair (MTTR), and mean time between failures (MTBF).

11. Providing regular reports to senior management on maintenance activities, costs, and equipment performance.

12. Working with production managers, engineers, and quality control teams to ensure machinery performance supports production goals.

13. Coordinating with external contractors, service providers, and equipment suppliers for specialized maintenance tasks or support.

14. Required knowledge on SAP modules in MM & PM.
