Your new role - challenging and future-oriented:
- Collaborate in Product Safety Across the Portfolio
- Provide support and coordination of product safety activities across business segments, ensuring consistency in approach and alignment with Siemens Energy Product Safety Policy.
- Serve as a central point of contact for certification strategy, product safety assessments, safety cases, and cross-functional reviews.
- Provide support to engineering functions to execute risk assessment as required for compliance with applicable product safety and certification standards, e.g. ISO 12100, ISO 80079-36, EN 13480 or other corresponding national standards.
Governance & Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with internal processes, international standards, and regulatory requirements throughout the product lifecycle.
- Oversee hazard analyses, risk assessments, safety verification, and documentation in line with Siemens Energy standards and industry best practices.
- Support audits, internal assessments, and regional or international regulatory interactions.
Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities to optimize processes and design for auxiliary equipment.
- Utilize methods such as RCA, FMEA, 8D, and digital analytics to strengthen preventive capabilities.
- Contribute to the development and deployment of digital solutions to enhance transparency and data-driven decision-making.
We don't need superheroes, just super minds:
- University degree in engineering or technical studies
- 6+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, process engineering or manufacturing quality within industrial, energy, or related sectors.
- Solid background in regulations such as Machinery Safety, Pressure Equipment, Explosion Protection and a wide knowledge in adjacent fields to Functional and Product Safety, such as Operations, Process Technology and Plant Concepts
- Solid competency in risk evaluation and risk management methods as well as being the go-to person as technical advisor
- Good communication skills in English language with the ability to simplify complex topics for diverse audiences.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience within Siemens Energy or a similar global, multi-product engineering environment.
- Familiarity with standards such as ISO 12100, IEC/UL requirements, machinery safety standards, or industry-specific safety frameworks.
- Expertise in structured problem-solving and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Experience with digital safety tools and data analytics platforms.
