Key Roles & Responsibilities

1. Production Operations

- Operate assigned solar cell manufacturing equipment and machines as per SOPs.
- Support production activities in processes such as:
- Wafer Handling
- Texturing
- Diffusion
- PECVD Coating
- Laser Processing
- Metallization/Printing
- Firing
- Sorting & Testing

- Ensure smooth material flow between process stations.
- Perform machine start-up, shutdown, and routine operational checks.

2. Process Monitoring

- Monitor machine parameters and process conditions.
- Record production data accurately in production logs and ERP/MES systems.
- Report process abnormalities and machine issues to supervisors immediately.
- Follow process specifications to achieve production targets.

3. Quality Assurance

- Conduct visual inspection of wafers and solar cells.
- Identify defects such as:
- Cracks
- Breakage
- Scratches
- Color variation
- Printing defects

- Follow quality standards and inspection procedures.
- Segregate non-conforming products as per quality guidelines.

4. Equipment Handling

- Perform basic machine cleaning and preventive maintenance activities.
- Assist maintenance teams during breakdowns and scheduled maintenance.




- Ensure proper handling of tools, fixtures, and measuring instruments.
- Maintain machine housekeeping and cleanliness.

5. Safety & EHS Compliance

- Follow all Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) guidelines.
- Wear prescribed Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Handle chemicals and production materials safely.
- Report unsafe conditions, incidents, and near misses immediately.
- Participate in safety training and emergency drills.

6. Productivity Improvement

- Minimize material wastage and handling losses.
- Support Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
- Suggest ideas for process improvement and operational efficiency.
- Work towards achieving production yield and throughput targets.

7. Documentation & Reporting

- Maintain accurate production records and shift reports.
- Complete checklists, logbooks, and quality inspection reports.
- Report daily production output, downtime, and quality issues.

8. Team Collaboration

- Coordinate with Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Warehouse teams.
- Ensure proper shift handover and communication.
- Support training of recent operators when required.
- Maintain professional behavior and teamwork on the shop floor.
