Role & responsibilities

Process development and Improvement:

- Design, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes for automobile production.
- Analyse production workflows and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality.
- Work with cross-functional teams to introduce new manufacturing processes, technologies, and best practices.
- Perform line balancing to optimize task distribution and minimize idle time across the production line. Ensure workstations are balanced to improve overall efficiency and meet production targets.
- Lead and participate in Kaizen events and initiatives aimed at enhancing production efficiency, reducing waste, and improving overall operational performance. Foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Identify and analyse bottlenecks in the production process and implement corrective actions to eliminate delays and maximize throughput.
- Utilize MOST and other process analysis techniques to design and optimize manufacturing processes, improve cycle times, and establish time standards for tasks.

Equipment & Tooling Design:

- Design, develop, and maintain tools, fixtures, and manufacturing equipment used in production lines.
- Ensure that all equipment is operating optimally, coordinating maintenance and repair when necessary.•

Quality assurance and continuous improvement:

- Lead efforts to ensure adherence to quality standards through the use of statistical methods, quality control techniques, and process audits.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide feedback, and facilitate training as needed.
- Implement and drive continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Kaizen.
- Address any production issues related to quality or efficiency,



providing solutions to minimize downtime and defects.

Process Optimization:

- Continuously analyse all machine performance & processes to identify opportunities for improvement and increased efficiency.
- Implement lean manufacturing principles to streamline workflows and reduce waste.

Safety Compliance:

- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and best practices in the production environment.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols to create a secure working environment for all team members.
- Ensure that all work is performed following industry standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.

Production Support:

- Collaborate with production teams to resolve technical issues and improve the overall manufacturing process.
- Participate in the design and launch of current products, ensuring manufacturability and scalability.

Cost Management:

- Analyse and monitor production costs, identifying opportunities for cost reductions and waste elimination.

Collaboration:

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering and Production to ensure seamless coordination and communication.

Provide regular updates and address any challenges or bottlenecks.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
- Experience with automotive manufacturing processes and equipment, preferably in the electric vehicle or automotive industry.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire team.
- Strong analytical abilities, with experience in data analysis and reporting.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
