- Prior experience in Sustaining Engineering, preferably in medical device industry
- Explicit understanding of design controls; should have understanding of the linkage from user needs all the way through design control and risk management
- Understanding of Mechanical engineering concepts/ first principle
- Hands-on experience in test method development
- Statistics and Minitab
- Knowledge of material sciences and processing Metals, Polymers, Plastics. The candidate should be able to apply knowledge of materials and processes to design
- Setting technical specifications & Design requirements
- Basic Project management with proficiency in MS projects or similar tools.
Nice to have
- Exposure to Single-Use Device NPD Cycle (at least 1 product; concept to commercialization)
- Exposure to testing and programming equipment like UTM
- Understanding of design considerations (injection molding and extrusion)
- Catheter design
- Windchill
- Tolerance stack up
