Role & responsibilities

1. Supervise shift operations of screening machines, excavators, payloaders and dumpers/tippers at the assigned location (Jetty or Inside Plant).

2. Ensure continuous feeding of screening machines and coordinate equipment positioning at input and output ends for maximum throughput.

3. Monitor and record production - trip counts, trip sheets, and weighbridge slips (loaded and tare weights) for every trip without exception.

4. Ensure 100% tarpaulin coverage on all loaded dumpers and prevent material spillage during transit.

5. Coordinate with JSW Engineer / shift in-charge regarding material availability, screening mesh size (6/8/10 mm), dumping locations, and daily work instructions; report any material shortage or stoppage immediately to the Plant In-charge.

6. Enforce all JSW safety norms - PPE compliance, work permits, equipment clearance status, speed limits and protected operating practices; stop work in case of unsafe conditions.

7. Record and report equipment breakdowns,



diesel consumption and shift machinery status; coordinate with the maintenance team (foreman, fitters, mechanic) for prompt repairs.

8. Manage shift manpower - attendance, deployment of operators, drivers and helpers, and discipline; arrange spare manpower in case of absence.

9. Maintain shift documentation: trip sheets, shift machinery report, incident reports and handover notes to the next shift supervisor.

10. Support monthly billing by ensuring completeness and accuracy of all shift records.

Preferred candidate profile

- HSC or Diploma (mandatory as per contract requirement)
- Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience in material handling, screening, mining or plant operations (steel plant / port / RMHS experience preferred)
- Valid documents for JSW gate pass process (Aadhaar, police verification, medical fitness)
