Job Summary:-

The Electrician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining the electrical and electronic systems of commercial vehicles, including trucks and buses. The role involves ensuring vehicles are serviced efficiently, safely, and according to manufacturer standards to maximize vehicle reliability and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities :-

- Diagnose electrical faults using diagnostic tools and manufacturer-recommended procedures.

- Repair and maintain vehicle electrical systems, including wiring harnesses, batteries, alternators, starters, lighting systems, and electrical accessories.

- Inspect, test, and replace electrical components such as sensors, switches, relays, fuses, and control modules.

- Perform preventive maintenance on electrical and electronic systems during scheduled vehicle services.

- Troubleshoot and repair charging, starting, lighting, and ignition systems.

- Diagnose and rectify faults in ABS, EBS, ECU, and CAN Bus systems.

- Read and interpret electrical wiring diagrams, circuit schematics, and service manuals.

- Carry out electrical installations and modifications as per company and manufacturer guidelines.

- Ensure all repair work is completed within standard labour time while maintaining quality standards.

- Record repair details accurately on job cards and workshop management systems.

- Coordinate with Service Advisors, Technicians, and Spare Parts teams to complete repairs efficiently.

- Follow all workplace safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.





- Participate in technical training programs to stay updated with recent vehicle technologies.

Required Qualifications:-

- ITI in Electrician / Auto Electrician / Diesel Mechanic or equivalent.

- Diploma in Automobile or Electrical Engineering (preferred).

- 15 years of experience in commercial vehicle workshops or authorized dealerships.

Preferred Experience

- Experience with BharatBenz, Tata Motors, Ashok Leyland, Eicher, Volvo Eicher, Mahindra Truck & Bus, or other commercial vehicle brands.
- Knowledge of dealership workshop operations and manufacturer service processes.
- Valid driving licence for commercial vehicles (preferred).
