Job Summary:
We are looking for a Senior AI Engineer to join our team and contribute to building the AI layer of Kleeto platform. You will work on designing and developing intelligent systems that integrate with our existing document management infrastructure to automate workflows, handle queries, and improve operational efficiency for our enterprise clients.

This is a hands-on engineering role. You will be expected to build production-grade systems, not prototypes.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design and develop AI-powered features that integrate with Kleeto document management platform
- Build conversational and agentic AI systems capable of multi-step reasoning, tool use, and context retention across multiple channels (voice, email, WhatsApp, Slack)
- Develop integrations between AI systems and Kleeto existing APIs, data sources, and client-facing workflows
- Implement robust prompt engineering, validation, and error handling for production reliability
- Build and maintain monitoring and logging systems to track AI performance in production
- Collaborate with the product and engineering team to translate business requirements into ltechnical solutions

Required:





- 3-6years of hands-on experience building and shipping AI agents or LLM-powered systems
- Robust proficiency in Python and backend development
- Hands-on experience with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini) prompt engineering, context window management, structured outputs, and graceful failure handling
- Experience integrating LLMs with external tools, APIs, and databases Experience with agentic AI frameworks such as LangChain and LangGraph planning, memory, tool use, and multi-step workflows
- Experience building and deploying APIs (FastAPI preferred) in a production environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work with ambiguity

Preferred:

- Familiarity with RAG architecture and vector databases
- Experience building multi-channel AI systems (voice, email, WhatsApp, Slack)
- Experience with containerization and cloud deployment
- Prior experience at a product-first company or startup
- Prior experience in database MySQL and/or others
- Prior experience in AWS or GCP or Azure
- Demonstrable projects GitHub or portfolio showing AI systems you have built and deployed
