Responsible for the efficient and effective operational management of credit risk according to global policy and direction from Global Credit Risk Management. Providing an authorized approval for the release of credit blocked orders and taking credit decisions is expected. Active support for the Team Leader Credit Management, Business and Sales.
The work model for the role is: Hybrid
You will be mainly accountable for:
- Supporting part of portfolio of 70+ countries with more than 65 thousand customers
- Credit limit authorization within threshold up to - depending on the size of the country - 200K USD for a large country, 100K USD for a medium country and 50K USD for a small country
- Presenting general knowledge in Credit Risk Management process, understanding the differences of the country specifics across the organization
- Participating in the Credit Circle sessions with the Global O2C Process Owners, Head of Global Credit Risk Management and Team Leader Credit Management
- Regular liaising with Internal and External Stakeholders (Front Office/Business/3rd Party Customers located globally)
- Assisting and giving advice in credit-related matters to Team Leader Credit Management
- Analyzing the creditworthiness of both new (credit assessments) and existing (credit reassessments) customers and making recommendations on their credit rating and credit limits
- Conducting annual/monthly credit limit review of customers for countries in scope
- Researching companies, gathering and analyzing financial and non-financial information from available sources to develop an understanding of customer s credit profile to make credit recommendation and provide partnership to the Business
- Monitoring and managing customers portfolio
- Having general understanding of the processes related to the Credit Control
- Managing the process for new orders put on hold due to exceeding credit limits
- Interacting with Business and Sales team on customers credit limit issues and escalations
- Monitoring compliance to Global Credit Policy
- Providing feedback on risk mitigation practices within credit area and other functions across ABB organization
- Close cooperation with CFIN SAP4HANA Specialist to implement new credit tools, systems, etc.
Qualifications for the role:
- 1-3 years experience in credit analysis or credit control, acting as Junior Credit Specialist/Credit Specialist or similar role in a global organization
- Master s/bachelor s degree in Finance, Banking, Accounting or Financial Audit
- Strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills
- An ability of analyzing financial reports: P&L;, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow statement and credit bureau reports
- An ability to cooperate in a dynamic and learning environment, to develop valuable relationship with Business and other supporting teams and be able to present key credit risks in complicated deal structures, to make sure that credit risk is addressed and Accounts Receivables collection is secured
- Experience of governing credit risk in an evolving environment
- High level of accuracy and attention to details, pro-active and can do attitude
- Fluent communication in English (good knowledge of other European languages would be an asset)
- Continuous Improvement mindset and experience in developing credit process
- A knowledge of SAP4HANA will be an asset
- Professional credit risk certification will be an asset
