- Design precision mechanical parts, assemblies, and enclosures for advanced electronic systems.
- Create high-quality 3D CAD models and detailed 2D manufacturing drawings.
- Perform tolerance analysis to ensure optimal fit, form, and function.
- Collaborate closely with electronics and PCB teams for seamless mechanical-electrical integration.
- Work directly with manufacturing partners to resolve production challenges and optimize designs.
- Prepare and maintain hardware design documentation, and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
Required Skills
- Strong foundation in mechanical design and core engineering principles.
- Proficiency in CAD tools such as SolidWorks, Autocad, CATIA, or Fusion 360.
- Good understanding of manufacturing processes, fabrication techniques, and material selection.
- Basic knowledge of thermal management and structural design principles.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Experience designing electronic enclosures,
including IP-rated designs and EMI considerations.
- Knowledge of thermal analysis and Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
Preferred / Additional Skills
- Experience with environmental qualification testing, including vibration, shock, and temperature testing.
- Exposure to defence, aerospace, or industrial-grade product development.
