Role & responsibilities

- Design, develop, enhance, and maintain Broadcom (EMC SMARTS/VMware SMARTS) fault monitoring applications.
- Analyze business requirements and provide technical solutions for OSS/BSS applications.
- Estimate project effort based on high-level designs and technical specifications.
- Upgrade and maintain fault monitoring platforms, integrating current features and technologies.
- Collaborate with vendors for product upgrades, support, and issue resolution.
- Develop and maintain applications using Java, REST APIs, SOAP, React, Python, Perl, PL/SQL, and Shell Scripting.
- Perform system integration, testing, deployment, and production support.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues reported by internal and external users.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including release notes, deployment guides, and code version control.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate fault monitoring with other network management systems.
- Identify opportunities for application performance improvements and automation.
- Follow Agile, Waterfall, and DevOps methodologies throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Ensure applications meet quality, security, and performance standards.
- Support microservices,



containerized applications, and Kubernetes-based deployments where applicable.

Preferred Candidate Profile

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics & Communication, or a related field.
- 58 years of experience in application development, preferably in Telecom OSS/Fault Monitoring solutions.
- Hands-on experience with Broadcom (EMC SMARTS/VMware SMARTS) applications.
- Strong knowledge of OSS/BSS architecture and telecom network operations.
- Proficiency in Java, REST, SOAP, React, Python, Perl, PL/SQL, and Linux/Unix Shell Scripting.
- Experience with Agile, Waterfall, and DevOps practices.
- Knowledge of Microservices, Docker/Containers, and Kubernetes is an added advantage.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with application integration, deployment, and production support.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions within project timelines.
