Position Title: Executive (Instrumentation) Power PlantBusiness Unit:Power Plant Work Location:DCM, Jhagadia, BharuchReporting to:HOD, Area-In chargeReported by:Direct : 0Purpose of the Position (Job Summary)

- Responsible for maintenance and operation Power plant instrumentation equipments such as maintenance and calibration of field instruments, analyzers, CPCB Analyzer and weighing systems for coal belt & feeder in Power plant
- Knowledge of DCS/PLC systems (Yokogawa DCS preferable) and exposure to boiler /Turbine/Ash handling/coal handling plants. Strong focus on safe operations, Ensure PTW and plant reliability.

- Responsible for to achieve Zero production loss due to instrument break down.
- Focus on cost optimization inventory reduction /inventory common by making a common spare.

- Coordinate and work closely with the internal stakeholders to achieve operational excellence.

People Orientation

- Carry out training for the team in the department as per the needs identified.
- Ensure that the operating objectives and standards of performance are understood and owned by the team members.

Core Operational Accountabilities
Job Responsibility:
Strong knowledge of Yokogawa DCS (CENTUM VP/CS3000).




Expertise Power Plant Instrumentation and Control Systems (Boiler CFBC, PF/Turbine)
Good knowledge of Control Valves, Transmitters, Analyzers, and Field Instruments.
Hands-on experience in DCS/AB PLC logic troubleshooting, interlock checking & understanding.
Knowledge of communication protocols such as Modbus and HART.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Experience in shutdown planning and execution.
Knowledge of Safety Procedures, Permit System, JSA, and Toolbox Talks, SAP PM & MM Module.

Plant Operation Support

- Independently handle plant startups, shutdowns, and stabilization activities.
- Monitor critical process parameters and provide operational support.
- Coordinate closely with Operations for safe and reliable plant operation.

- Inventory planning and procurement support

Preparation of monthly plans for procurement of materials for maintenance activities & necessary plant modification.
Create purchase requisitions for the material procurements & hiring of services for the department.
Identifying new vendors to reduce procurement cycles and reduce material costing.
Troubleshooting & Reliability Improvement





- Diagnose process and instrumentation-related issues.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
- Improve system reliability through technical modifications and optimization.

Quality / Setting / Health & Safety Management:

- Actively participate in the activities to achieve planned production, consistent with prescribed quality standards. Work continuously improving existing departments metrics and goals (Production and Quality).
- To ensure quality maintenance activities and initiate actions to address any quality issue & modify the techniques if required.
- Ensure electrical safety of the plant, minimize direct exposure to electrical hazards, and ensure safety and other statutory requirements.

- B.E. Instrumentation with experience of 6-8 years in Power plant.

- Should possess excellent interpersonal skills, team management skills & leadership skills.
- Forecasting of spare parts.

Key Performance Indicators

- Ensuring zero breakdowns of the running machines / Zero prod. loss on account of breakdown.
- Ensure Plant safety and Behaviour Based Safety to meet SHE requirement.
- Inventory management of the Engineering stores.
