Plant Manager (Technical/Operation Head)

Educational qualification - BE/B. Tech in Mechanical/Ceramics/Production technology

Experience - Minimum 20 Years of experience in any area of container glass Industry i.e. in Glass, Production and Engineering etc. Preference will be given to Glass Production background candidates.

1. Leadership Role

Should have solid leadership and managerial quality in plant operations, including production, maintenance, quality control to meet production targets, cost, quality, and delivery performance. Should be well versed with container glass manufacturing process, furnace operation and various critical processes of a container glass industry.

1. People management ; - Should be able to lead, coach and develop plant operation team, handling front-line staff and union of workforce to build capacity and accountability.
2. Safety Quality - Should be able to establish,



monitor and enforce the safety compliance of glass industry to ensure workplace safety and environmental statutory requirement.
3. Production efficiency improvement- Taking lead in driving initiatives to improve operational efficiency, strict control on day-to-day production efficiency and machines downtime and wastage control.
4. Preparing and managing plant budget, ensuring cost control, setting performance target of plant.
5. Should have handled a large workforce of permanent and contractual workers especially in cold end, quality and warehouse area.
6. Should be adept in dealing with various govt agencies for smooth functioning of plant operation with respect to meet various statutory compliances.
