Position : Quality Manager

Brief of the Job :

Position: Quality Manager

Location: position based out at a plant in south India

Role:

- Develop, implement, and maintain Quality Management Systems in line with ISO 9001, ISO 22000/FSSC, and customer-specific standards.

- Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements related to food-contact and beverage packaging.

- Lead internal audits, customer audits, certification audits, and regulatory inspections.

- Drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) and ensure timely closure of non-conformities.

- Define and monitor quality standards for container glass products, primarily in the alcoholic beverages segment.

- Oversee hot-end and cold-end inspection systems, sampling plans, and acceptance criteria.

- Approve current product development (NPD), mold trials, and product qualifications.

- Establish and monitor process controls across melting, forming (IS machines), annealing lehrs, surface treatments, and packing operations.

- Analyze quality data, defects, and trends to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.





- Lead improvement initiatives using SPC, Six Sigma, Pareto Analysis, FMEA, and Root Cause Analysis tools.

- Ensure quality control of raw materials including silica sand, soda ash, limestone, cullet, colorants, and coatings.

- Lead, mentor, and develop the QA/QC team.

- Support plant safety initiatives and ensure quality processes align with safety standards.

Key Skills Competencies

- Strong expertise in ISO standards, food-contact packaging regulations, and customer specifications

- Proficiency in quality tools and statistical analysis techniques

- Excellent root cause analysis and problem-solving skills

- Strong knowledge of container glass manufacturing processes

Educational Qualifications

- Bachelor s degree in Glass Technology, Ceramic Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or Chemical Engineering
