Why this Role?

This is not a conventional business development position, GIFT City requires a senior GCC leader who can shape strategy, influence policy, build relationships with global corporations and consultants, and personally drive marquee Global Capability Centre investments.

Mission - To establish GIFT City as India's most preferred destination for next-generation Global Capability Centres by leading strategy, investor acquisition, ecosystem development and policy advocacy.

Position type - on contract for a period 3 years from the date of joining, extendable based on organization needs and candidates performance.

Pay Band

- Commensurate with qualifications and experience. in the pay-scale of Rs.1,31,100-2,16,600 as per 7th CPC)

Key Deliverables

- Develop and execute GIFT City's GCC Strategy and annual target plan.
- Own the Top Fortune 500 account list and maintain CEO/CXO engagement plans.
- Originate and close marquee GCC investments across BFSI, AI, Semiconductor, Manufacturing, Pharma, Aerospace, Engineering and Digital Services.
- Publish sector playbooks and thought leadership reports.
- Represent GIFT City globally in investor meetings, roadshows and conferences.
- Build a high-quality GCC ecosystem including universities, talent partners and industry bodies.
- Report directly to the MD & Group CEO with quarterly strategy reviews.

Candidate Profile

- 15+ years of experience with significant exposure to GCCs, Global Business Services,



location advisory or enterprise transformation.
- Must have personally led or advised establishment/expansion of multiple multinational GCCs.
- Robust global CXO network and demonstrated ability to influence location decisions.
- Commercially strong with proven deal origination, negotiation and closure experience.
- Excellent understanding of India's GCC ecosystem and competing global locations.

Preferred Background

- Former GCC Head or Global Business Services Leader
- Partner/Director in GCC practices of Big Four or strategy consulting firms
- Senior leader from ANSR, Zinnov or equivalent GCC advisory firms
- Investment promotion leaders with demonstrated GCC wins

Key Performance Indicators

- 2-3 marquee GCC announcements annually
- Qualified pipeline of at least 100 global target companies
- 50+ CXO engagements every year
- 10+ strategic consultant partnerships
- Policy reforms and ecosystem initiatives delivered
- Investment value, employment generated and conversation ratio

Selection Criteria

- The evaluation should be based on demonstrated GCC transaction experience, global network, strategic thinking, policy capability and ability to independently originate investments. Traditional business development experience without GCC credentials should not be sufficient.
