Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Robotic Engineer with hands-on experience in Kawasaki welding robots. The successful candidate will be responsible for robot programming, commissioning, troubleshooting, maintenance, and continuous improvement of robotic welding systems to support production and quality objectives.

Key Responsibilities

- Program, teach, and optimize Kawasaki welding robots for arc welding and automated weldingapplications.
- Perform robot installation,commissioning, startup, and production support activities.
- Develop, modify, and validate robot welding programs based on production requirements.
- Troubleshoot robot, controller, welding equipment, and automation-related issues.
- Set up and calibrate TCP, tool frames, user frames, and robot parameters.
- Monitor welding quality and implement process improvements to reduce defects.
- Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on robotic welding cells.
- Coordinate with Production, Quality, and Maintenance teams to resolve technical issues.
- Maintain robot backups, documentation, and maintenance records.
- Support recent product launches, process changes, and automation projects.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, operating procedures, and quality requirements.

Required Skills

- Hands-on experience with Kawasaki robot programming and teach pendant operations.




- Strong knowledge of robotic arc welding processes (MIG/MAG welding).
- Experience in robot troubleshooting, fault diagnosis, and recovery.
- Understanding of robot kinematics, coordinate systems, TCP setup, and path optimization.
- Basic knowledge of PLCs, industrial communication networks, and automation systems.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic drawings.
- Knowledge of welding parameters, weld quality inspection, and process control.
- Proficiency in root cause analysis and problem-solving techniques.

Qualifications

- Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics, or a related field.
- Kawasaki robot training or certification is preferred.
- 2–8 years of experience in robotic welding automation within manufacturing industries.

Preferred Experience

- Experience in automotive, fabrication, or heavy engineering industries.
- Integration and troubleshooting of robotic welding cells.
- Knowledge of welding power sources and peripheral equipment.
- Experience with robot simulation and offline programming tools.
- Familiarity with industrial safety standards and risk assessment practices.
