Role & responsibilities

Procurement

- Source and procure equipment, materials, and services for water and wastewater treatment projects.
- Identify, evaluate, and develop vendors for pumps, valves, piping, membranes, filters, chemicals, treatment equipment, and related products.
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and commercial terms with suppliers.
- Prepare purchase orders, monitor deliveries, and ensure timely procurement.
- Conduct market research to identify new suppliers, technologies, and cost-saving opportunities.
- Ensure procurement complies with CPCB, ISO, and environmental regulations.

Operation & Maintenance Support

- Coordinate procurement of spare parts, consumables, tools, and maintenance services for STP, ETP, RO, and water treatment plants.
- Support preventive and corrective maintenance activities by ensuring material availability.
- Monitor inventory levels and maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.
- Assist in O&M; budgeting, cost tracking, and reporting.

Vendor & Supply Chain Management

- Develop and maintain robust supplier relationships.
- Resolve supply chain issues related to quality, delivery, and pricing.




- Maintain inventory using ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
- Support site inspections and quality verification of supplied materials.

Compliance & Reporting

- Ensure adherence to company procurement policies, statutory regulations, and safety standards.
- Prepare procurement MIS reports, supplier performance reports, and cost-saving analyses.
- Promote sustainable procurement by sourcing eco-friendly and energy-efficient products.

Preferred candidate profile

- Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Mechanical, Chemical, Environmental Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related discipline.
- Diploma holders with relevant industry experience may also be considered.
- 5+ years of procurement experience in Water Treatment, Wastewater, Environmental Services, EPC, or Infrastructure Projects.
- Experience supporting Operation & Maintenance (O&M;) activities is preferred.
- Knowledge of CPCB guidelines, BIS/IS standards, and water treatment technologies will be an advantage.
