Job Description: Scientist - Process R&D; (Organic Synthesis)

Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and results-driven R&D; Scientist to join our research team in Bhiwadi. The ideal candidate will be an expert in organic synthesis with a proven track record of scaling processes from laboratory (kilogram) to commercial (metric ton) production. You will play a pivotal role in developing innovative aroma chemicals,
optimizing reaction efficiency, and ensuring seamless technology transfer to manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities:

- Process Development & Scale-Up: Lead multi-step organic synthesis projects, scaling processes from lab (g/kg) to commercial (metric ton) production.
- Reaction Management: Execute and optimize complex organic reactions, including hydrogenation, oxidation, condensation, esterification, and Friedel-Crafts alkylation/acylation.
- Equipment Operations: Safely operate and maintain high-pressure autoclaves, continuous vapor-phase reactors, and vacuum distillation systems.
- Analytical Support: Use GC, HPLC, and related techniques to monitor reactions, assess purity, and troubleshoot process deviations.
- Documentation & Compliance: Maintain accurate ELN and technical documentation while ensuring compliance with GMP and EHS standards.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with production, QA,



and engineering teams to resolve technical issues and improve process efficiency, yield, and cost.

Desired Profile
Education: M.Sc. in Organic Chemistry from a reputed institution.
Experience: 3 to 7 years of industrial experience in the aroma chemical, fragrance, or fine organic chemical industry.

Technical Proficiency:

- Proven experience in scaling chemical processes from laboratory to commercial manufacturing, with expertise in hazardous reactions and advanced process equipment.
- Preferred experience in process innovation, route scouting, and commercialization of fine chemicals or aroma chemicals.
- Strong knowledge of reaction engineering, catalyst optimization, DoE, process safety, technology transfer, and sustainable, cost-effective process development.
- Familiarity with patent literature, intellectual property generation, and analytical techniques such as GC-MS, LC-MS, NMR, and FTIR is an added advantage.

Attributes: High level of technical ownership and a collaborative mindset. Solid scientific , problem-solving skills, a passion for innovation, and the ability to work independently while leading cross-functional projects from concept to commercialization.

Shift Availability: Must be able to work in rotational shifts as required by production cycles.
