- Develop and modify CNC / VMC programs based on drawings and process plans
- Select suitable tools, cutting parameters, and machining sequences
- Perform program prove-out and first-off validation on machines
- Optimize programs to reduce cycle time and improve productivity
- Troubleshoot machining and programming issues during production
- Support machine operators during setup, offsets, and program execution
- Ensure adherence to quality, safety, and process standards
- Maintain proper program documentation and revision control
- Support NPD machining activities and stabilize production processes
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives
Preferred candidate profile
We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer with strong hands-on experience in CNC & VMC programming using G-code and/or 2D CAM methods. The role focuses on programming, prove-out, and optimization of machining processes for precision hydraulic components.
Desired Candidate Profile
- BE Mechanical / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (DME)
- 2 to 15 years of experience in CNC / VMC programming
- Experience in hydraulics, heavy engineering, or precision machining preferred
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong experience in CNC & VMC programming
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T;, and tolerances
- Good understanding of machining operations:
- Turning, Milling, Drilling, Threading, Boring
- Hands-on knowledge of cutting tools, inserts, fixtures, offsets, and work holding
- Experience in cycle time optimization and tool life improvement
- Knowledge of CNC controllers (Fanuc / Siemens / Mitsubishi preferred)
- Solid troubleshooting and shop-floor support capability
- Attention to detail and quality orientation
