Reports To: Managing Director / CEO

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head Engineering to lead our engineering function, drive product innovation, optimize manufacturing processes, and support business growth.

Job Summary

The Head Engineering will be responsible for leading all engineering activities, including product design, engineering development, process engineering, new product introduction (NPI), manufacturing engineering, automation, value engineering, and continuous improvement. The role requires a strategic leader with robust technical expertise and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver world-class engineering solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

• Lead the Engineering department and oversee product design, development, and engineering execution.

• Develop engineering strategies aligned with business objectives and manufacturing capabilities.

• Manage product engineering, process engineering, manufacturing engineering, and design validation activities.

• Drive New Product Development (NPD) and New Product Introduction (NPI) from concept to production.

• Review customer drawings, specifications, and technical requirements to ensure manufacturability.

• Standardize engineering processes, documentation, and design practices.

• Lead value engineering, cost optimization, and design improvement initiatives.

• Collaborate with Production, Quality, Projects, Procurement, Sales,



and Supply Chain teams for seamless project execution.

• Implement Design for Manufacturing (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), and Design for Excellence (DFX) principles.

• Drive automation, process optimization, and digital engineering initiatives.

• Establish engineering standards, SOPs, and best practices across the organization.

• Ensure compliance with applicable engineering standards, quality systems, and regulatory requirements.

• Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for engineering and manufacturing issues.

• Manage engineering change requests (ECR), engineering change orders (ECO), and revision control.

• Mentor and develop engineering teams through coaching, performance management, and technical training.

• Monitor engineering KPIs and prepare management reports and dashboards.

• Support capital projects, plant expansion, equipment selection, and technology upgrades.

Desired Candidate Profile :

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Production, Industrial, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering.

• Master's degree or MBA in Operations/Engineering Management is preferred.

• 10-15 years of engineering experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

• Strong expertise in product design, manufacturing engineering, process engineering, and project management.





• Experience leading cross-functional engineering teams in a manufacturing environment.

• Hands-on knowledge of CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Creo, CATIA, or similar).

• Familiarity with ERP/PLM systems and engineering documentation.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, leadership, and decision-making skills.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
