Role & responsibilities

- Lead verification, validation, and testing projects for switchboards and circuit breakers, ensuring successful execution from planning to completion.
- Mentor and coach Project Test Leaders (PTLs) in developing comprehensive Verification & Validation (V&V;) test plans based on technical specifications, functional requirements, customer requirements, wiring rules, earthing systems, and applicable standards.
- Provide technical guidance and training to PTLs and test engineers on functional, performance, reliability, and compliance testing methodologies.
- Plan, execute, and review electrical testing activities to ensure products comply with applicable national and international standards.
- Analyze test results, identify product performance issues, prepare detailed technical reports, and recommend corrective actions.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose product failures during testing, perform root cause analysis, and support corrective and preventive actions.
- Collaborate with design, engineering, quality, and product development teams to improve product performance, reliability, and regulatory compliance.
- Stay updated with the latest developments in electrical standards, testing methodologies, and industry best practices related to switchboards and circuit breakers.
- Support knowledge-sharing initiatives by conducting technical training sessions, workshops, webinars, and customer awareness programs.
- Ensure strict adherence to laboratory safety procedures, quality systems, and regulatory requirements during all testing activities.
- Maintain laboratory technical competency by implementing and complying with accredited Quality Management Systems, including ISO/IEC 17025 (NABL) requirements.
- Mentor and develop technical capabilities of engineers in short-circuit testing, product validation, and electrical testing practices.
- Build and maintain strong technical collaborations with external testing laboratories,



certification bodies, and industry organizations.
- Work with laboratory leadership to define testing strategies, capability enhancement plans, infrastructure development, and long-term technology roadmaps.
- Represent the organization at technical conferences, seminars, customer forums, and industry events through technical presentations and knowledge sharing.
- Monitor changes in international standards, perform competency gap assessments, and recommend laboratory capability improvements.
- Drive laboratory automation initiatives to improve testing efficiency, repeatability, accuracy, and digitalization of test processes.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, productivity, process optimization, and operational excellence.
- Ensure timely execution of testing projects while meeting quality, safety, cost, and delivery objectives.

Preferred candidate profile

- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Have rich experience in testing and inspection of circuit breakers and switchboards.
- Thorough Understanding of IEC61439 -1, IEC 61439-2, IEC 61439-3, IEC 61439-6, IEC60947-1, EC60947-2, IEC60947-3, IEC60947-4, IEC60898, IEC61009 , IEC61008
- Thorough with National Electrical code , earthing systems, and wiring rules.
- Proven experience in circuit breaker and switchboard testing, preferably in a manufacturing or testing environment.
- In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, circuit breakers, and switchboards.
- Strong project management skills
- Familiarity with industry standards such as IEC, ANSI, and UL.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Proficient in using testing equipment and tools.
- Excellent communication and report writing skills.
