Designation - Assistant Manager / Deputy Manager Mining Engineer

Location: Umrangso, Assam

Looking for a highly competent 1st Class Certified Mining Engineer to oversee mining operations at its captive limestone mine in Umrangso, Assam.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage day-to-day limestone mining operations to meet production targets.
- Perform statutory duties as a Mine Manager/Mining Engineer in accordance with the Mines Act, DGMS regulations, and other applicable statutory requirements.
- Ensure strict compliance with safety, health, environmental, and sustainability standards.
- Prepare and implement mine production plans, drilling and blasting schedules, and mine development activities.
- Monitor drilling, blasting, excavation, loading, crushing, and transportation operations.
- Optimize mine productivity, equipment utilization, and operational costs.




- Coordinate with geology, mechanical, electrical, quality, and plant teams for uninterrupted limestone supply.
- Conduct safety audits, toolbox talks, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
- Ensure compliance with environmental clearance conditions, mine closure plans, and statutory reporting.
- Liaise with DGMS, IBM, State Mining Department, Pollution Control Board, and other regulatory authorities.
- Maintain statutory records, production reports, safety documentation, and mining plans.
- Lead and develop mining supervisors, operators, and contract workforce.
