Job Summary
The Senior Manager Accounts & Finance will be responsible for leading and managing the entire finance and accounting function of the real estate company. The role involves ensuring accurate maintenance of books of accounts, statutory compliance, financial reporting, taxation, budgeting, audit coordination, and cash flow management. The incumbent should possess in-depth knowledge of GST, TDS, Income Tax, Companies Act, accounting standards, and real estate accounting practices.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Accounting & Bookkeeping

- Oversee and ensure accurate maintenance of books of accounts in compliance with applicable Accounting Standards and statutory requirements.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Ensure timely closing of books and reconciliation of all accounts.
- Monitor journal entries, ledgers, trial balance, and general accounting activities.
- Maintain fixed asset register and depreciation schedules.
- Supervise bank reconciliations and inter-company reconciliations.

2. GST Compliance

- Ensure timely preparation and filing of GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, Annual Returns, etc.).
- Reconcile GST input and output tax liabilities.
- Manage GST input tax credit (ITC) reconciliation.
- Handle GST assessments, departmental notices, and audits.
- Stay updated with GST amendments and ensure organizational compliance.

3. TDS & Income Tax Compliance

- Deduct and deposit TDS within prescribed timelines.
- Prepare and file quarterly TDS returns.
- Issue TDS certificates to vendors and employees.
- Handle Income Tax notices and assessments.
- Ensure compliance with all direct tax provisions.

4. Financial Planning & Reporting

- Prepare MIS reports for management.
- Develop annual budgets and monitor budget variances.
- Conduct financial analysis and profitability assessment of projects.




- Prepare cash flow statements and fund flow reports.
- Provide financial insights for strategic decision-making.

5. Real Estate Project Accounting

- Maintain project-wise accounting and cost allocation.
- Monitor construction costs, project expenditures, and budget utilization.
- Track customer receivables, advances, and revenue recognition.
- Coordinate with project teams regarding financial progress and cost controls.
- Ensure proper accounting of land acquisition, development costs, and project financing.

6. Audit & Statutory Compliance

- Coordinate statutory audit, internal audit, GST audit, and tax audit.
- Ensure compliance with Companies Act, Income Tax Act, GST Act, and other applicable laws.
- Liaise with statutory auditors, tax consultants, banks, and regulatory authorities.
- Implement internal financial controls and ensure adherence to company policies.

7. Treasury & Cash Flow Management

- Monitor daily cash flow and banking operations.
- Manage fund utilization and working capital requirements.
- Coordinate with banks for loans, project finance, and credit facilities.
- Ensure timely vendor and statutory payments.
- Monitor customer collections and receivables.

8. Team Management

- Lead and supervise the Accounts & Finance team.
- Allocate responsibilities and monitor team performance.
- Train team members on accounting standards and statutory compliance.
- Foster a culture of accuracy, integrity, and continuous improvement.

9. Internal Controls & Compliance

- Develop and strengthen internal financial control systems.
- Ensure adherence to accounting policies and SOPs.
- Identify financial risks and recommend mitigation measures.




- Maintain confidentiality of financial information.

Educational Qualification

- Bachelor's Degree in Commerce (B.Com.) Mandatory.
- Master's Degree in Commerce (M.Com.) Preferred.
- CA Intermediate (IPCC) Preferred.
- Additional certifications in Taxation, GST, or Finance will be an added advantage.

Experience

- 810 years of relevant experience in Accounts & Finance.
- Minimum 35 years of experience in the Real Estate or Construction industry preferred.
- Experience in handling complete finance and accounting functions independently.

Technical Skills

- Strong knowledge of Accounting Standards and financial reporting.
- Thorough understanding of GST, TDS, Income Tax, and statutory compliance.
- Experience in project accounting and real estate financial management.
- Proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Tally Prime, or similar accounting software.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, financial modeling, and MIS reporting.

Preferred Candidate Profile

- Commerce Graduate (B.Com.) with M.Com. or CA Intermediate.
- 810 years of hands-on experience in Accounts & Finance.
- Extensive knowledge of GST, TDS, Income Tax, auditing, and statutory compliance.
- Proven experience in managing complete books of accounts independently.
- Prior experience in a Real Estate or Construction company will be highly preferred.
- Ability to lead finance operations, coordinate audits, and support strategic business decisions.

Compensation
