A leading private sector bank is hiring Area Business Managers for its Small Business Enterprise vertical, leading a team of Business and Portfolio Relationship Managers.

Key responsibilities:

- Drive a team of Business and / or Portfolio RMs at area level, covering both new client acquisition and management, maintenance and enhancement of the existing portfolio
- Understand client business and provide appropriate working capital and business loan solutions across fund and non-fund based products including cash credit, demand loan and bank guarantee, up to a limit of Rs 100 lacs
- Drive the team for recent acquisition through branch banking and customer referrals
- Build relationships with key persons including CFOs and promoters in target segments
- Continually increase book size, sanctions outstanding and profitability of the location
- Inculcate in team members an understanding of client business models,



trade related activities and cash flows, and drive identification of opportunities
- Groom and mentor team members to achieve desired RM productivity levels
- Channel management and driving digital adoption at location level
- Deepen market reach through trade meetings, industry associations and local forums

Reports to: Regional Business Manager. Will have a team of Business and / or Portfolio RMs reporting in.

MANDATORY REQUIREMENT: 7-8 years of experience IN THE LOCAL MARKET of the city applied for. This is a hard requirement - candidates without local market experience for the specific city will not be considered. Both credit AND sales background required, along with prior experience driving and managing teams.
