Role Description The Telephone Operator is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru. The role involves answering incoming calls promptly, routing calls through the switchboard to the appropriate departments, and providing transparent information to patients, visitors, and healthcare professionals. Daily tasks include managing multiple lines, taking and relaying accurate messages, scheduling or confirming appointments as directed, and handling basic customer support queries. The Telephone Operator also maintains call logs, follows established protocols for emergency or priority calls,



and collaborates with front-desk and clinical staff to ensure smooth communication across the facility.
Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong phone etiquette and communication skills to interact professionally and clearly with patients and staff.
- Candidates should possess switchboard and switchboard operator skills to manage multiple lines and route calls efficiently.
- Candidates should possess customer support skills to handle inquiries, provide information, and resolve basic concerns courteously.
- Basic computer literacy and familiarity with call management or hospital information systems are beneficial.
- Prior experience in a healthcare, hospital, or customer service environment is an advantage.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure, manage high call volumes, and follow instructions and communication protocols.
- Fluency in English and local languages commonly spoken in Bengaluru is preferred.
