Job Summary

Data Engineering with strong hands-on expertise in Snowflake-based cloud data warehousing and modern ELT development using dbt (Core or Cloud), with deep proficiency in advanced SQL, dimensional modeling (Kimball/Data Vault), incremental and snapshot strategies, performance tuning, and cost optimization in Snowflake. The candidate must have experience designing scalable, production-grade ELT pipelines, implementing CI/CD for dbt, integrating orchestration tools, and enforcing data quality through automated testing and observability frameworks. Strong understanding of cloud platforms and security in Snowflake, version control (Git), and DevOps-driven deployment practices is required, along with demonstrated experience leading technical design reviews and mentoring data engineering teams and work in onsite-offshore model mentoring the offshore members to drive delivery. We are looking for a dbt Developer with strong SQL and data modeling experience to build and maintain scalable data transformation solutions on the Snowflake platform. The role involves developing dbt models, tests, macros, documentation, and reusable data assets to support analytics, reporting, and business decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and maintain dbt models on Snowflake.
- Build reliable, tested, and documented data transformation pipelines.
- Implement data quality checks, lineage, and governance standards.
- Optimize SQL queries and dbt models for performance and cost.
- Collaborate with data engineering, BI, analytics, and business teams.
- Support Git-based development, CI/CD, and deployment processes.

Required Skills:

- Strong SQL and data modeling skills.
- Hands-on experience with dbt Core or dbt Cloud.
- Experience working with Snowflake.
- Knowledge of ELT pipelines, testing, documentation, and version control.
- Understanding of analytics engineering and dimensional modeling.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead technical projects involving snowflake, dbt, sql, and python from conception to completion.
2. Provide technical expertise and guidance to team members.
3.



Collaborate with stakeholders to understand project requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
4. Develop and maintain database systems using snowflake and sql.
5. Implement data transformation and modeling using dbt (data build tool).
6. Write and optimize python code for data extraction, transformation, and loading (etl) processes.
7. Troubleshoot technical issues and provide timely resolutions.
8. Stay updated on industry trends and technologies related to snowflake, dbt, sql, and python.

Skill Requirements

1. Proficiency in snowflake for database development and management.
2. Experience with dbt for data transformation and modeling.
3. Strong sql skills for querying and managing databases.
4. Advanced knowledge of python for data manipulation and etl processes.
5. Ability to work in a fast paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
7. Robust communication and leadership abilities to guide and mentor team members effectively.

Other Requirements

1.Relevant certifications in Snowflake, DBT, SQL, or Python are a plus.
