About The Job:

- We are looking for a highly motivated Software Test Engineer with strong debugging and problem-solving skills who enjoys understanding how software works under the hood. The ideal candidate is passionate about quality engineering, thrives on investigating complex issues, and leverages modern AI tools to improve productivity across the software testing lifecycle.

Essential Job Functions:
- Design comprehensive test strategies and detailed test plans from high-level product requirements, ensuring strong coverage of functional, edge, negative, and integration scenarios.
- Execute manual and automated testing across web applications with a focus on product quality, reliability, and user experience.
- Develop and maintain robust test automation frameworks and test suites using Playwright.
- Leverage AI-assisted engineering tools to accelerate day-to-day testing activities, including:

- Test planning and test case generation
- Exploratory testing and edge-case identification
- Bug reporting and high-quality ticket creation
- Issue isolation and root cause analysis
- Debugging and troubleshooting
- Pull Request (PR) impact analysis and regression assessment
- Test maintenance, documentation, and productivity improvements
- Work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to clarify requirements and drive quality throughout the development lifecycle.
- Investigate defects beyond surface symptoms by understanding application architecture, logs, APIs, and system behavior.




- Drive issues to closure through effective collaboration, clear communication, and persistent follow-through.
- Continuously evaluate opportunities to improve test coverage, automation, tooling, and engineering processes.

Qualifications:
Required Skills

- 2–4 years of experience in software testing or Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) roles.
- Strong understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and quality engineering practices.
- Experience with Playwright (Java preferred) for UI test automation.
- Strong analytical, debugging, and troubleshooting skills with the ability to isolate complex issues.
- Ability to understand software architecture and system behavior rather than relying solely on black-box testing.
- Experience creating comprehensive test plans from high-level requirements.
- Familiarity with REST APIs, browser developer tools, logs, and debugging techniques.
- Experience with API testing and automation.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong learning mindset with enthusiasm for adopting new tools and technologies, including AI-assisted development workflows.

Good to Have
- Working knowledge of AWS or cloud-native application environments.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, etc.).
- Exposure to performance, security, or integration testing.
