Job Description: A Shift Incharge (RMP - Responsible Mechanical Position or Responsible Manufacturing Position/Production) in a steel manufacturing plant (such as DRI/Sponge Iron, SMS, or Rolling Mill) is responsible for supervising daily operations, managing the workforce, enforcing safety protocols, and ensuring production targets are met during their assigned shift. This role focuses on maintaining optimal process parameters, reducing downtime, and ensuring product quality. Key Responsibilities

- Production & Process: Coordinate daily operations to meet targets, adjusting parameters (e.g., furnace load, temperature) for optimal, quality production.
- Team & Safety Management: Supervise, train, and guide staff while enforcing strict adherence to safety (HSE) and environmental protocols.
- Operations Support:



Ensure equipment performance, address breakdowns to minimize downtime, and manage detailed shift documentation and handovers.

Key Skills & Qualifications
- Expertise: Requires robust technical knowledge of steel-making processes (e.g., DRI, EAF) with skills in operational troubleshooting and team leadership.
- Background: Generally requires a technical diploma or engineering degree (Mechanical/Metallurgy) combined with relevant industrial experience.
