Job Description: A Senior (Sr.) Fitter Mechanical installs, maintains, and repairs complex industrial machinery and equipment, ensuring operational efficiency and safety. Responsibilities include interpreting technical drawings, troubleshooting mechanical faults, performing preventive/breakdown maintenance, and leading junior fitters. They require advanced precision, tool proficiency, and strict safety adherence. Key Responsibilities

- Maintenance & Repair: Perform complex preventive and corrective maintenance on machinery like gearboxes, conveyors, pumps, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
- Installation & Assembly: Assemble and install new mechanical equipment and components with high precision.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose mechanical malfunctions and implement solutions to minimize production downtime.
- Technical Interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical manuals.
- Leadership: Supervise and mentor junior fitters, guiding them on technical tasks and safety protocols.
- Safety & Compliance:



Adhere to all safety regulations, including PTW (Permit to Work) systems, and maintain a clean work area.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and technical inspections.

Requirements

- Experience: Several years of experience (often 4–12+ years) as a mechanical fitter in an industrial or manufacturing workplace.
- Education: ITI, Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, or completed vocational apprenticeship.
- Skills: Proficiency with hand/power tools, welding, and precision measuring instruments.
- Physical Ability: Strong physical stamina and manual dexterity.
