Job Description: A Fitter Fabricator in steel manufacturing constructs, assembles, and installs steel structural components by interpreting blueprints, measuring, cutting, and shaping metal materials. They ensure precise alignment and welding of components like beams, frames, and plates, adhering to safety and quality standards. Core Responsibilities

- Blueprint Interpretation: Read, analyze, and interpret engineering drawings, sketches, and specifications.
- Layout and Fabrication: Mark, measure, cut, bend, and shape steel components using tools such as saws, grinders, drills, and oxy-fuel cutting equipment.
- Assembly and Fitting: Assemble, align, and position parts securely for final welding, ensuring dimensional accuracy and proper fit.
- Welding/Tack Welding: Perform tack welding to hold parts together and utilize manual metal arc welding or other techniques for joining components.
- Quality Inspection: Use measuring instruments to verify components match specifications and correct any defects.




- Safety Compliance: Maintain a clean work area and strictly adhere to health, safety, and environmental protocols.

Key Requirements

- Education: ITI certification in Fitter Trade or equivalent vocational training.
- Experience: Previous hands-on experience in structural steel fabrication or a manufacturing environment.
- Skills: Proficiency in using hand/power tools, understanding technical drawings, and robust mathematical skills.
- Physical Ability: Ability to lift heavy materials, work in confined spaces, or at heights, often for long hours.
