Job Description: A Cafe Cook prepares, cooks, and presents food items, such as sandwiches, salads, soups, and light meals, while maintaining high sanitation and food quality standards. Key responsibilities include following recipes, managing inventory, operating kitchen equipment, and maintaining a clean, organized, and secure workspace in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities

- Food Preparation & Cooking: Prepare, grill, fry, and assemble menu items according to recipes, portion sizes, and presentation standards.
- Menu Execution & Development: Execute daily menus, including specials, and contribute creative ideas.
- Safety & Sanitation: Adhere to food safety regulations, maintain proper food temperatures, and sanitize workstations to comply with health codes.
- Inventory & Stocking: Monitor ingredient levels, assist with orders, and ensure proper storage and rotation of inventory.
- Team Collaboration:



Work efficiently with waitstaff and other kitchen members to ensure timely service.

Required Qualifications & Skills

- Experience: Previous experience as a line cook, prep cook, or in a similar cafe role.
- Culinary Knowledge: Understanding of cooking techniques, sanitation practices, and food safety standards (e.g., HACCP).
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy items.
- Communication: Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively.
- Efficiency: Ability to multitask and perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Typical Requirements

- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
- Food handler's certification or license as required by local health regulations.
