Education Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field or higher with minimum 10 years of relevant experience.

We are seeking a seasoned Trade Finance Functional SME to join our team. In this highly visible role, you will leverage your 10+ years of deep industry experience in Trade Finance Domain to drive complex IT projects. You will act as the pivotal link between our clients, onsite management, and cross-functional engineering teams. Utilizing your expert-level Agile methodology skills and profound product knowledge, you will translate ambiguous business needs into strategic IT roadmaps, ensuring our organization maintains its competitive edge.

Your future duties and responsibilities
Domain Leadership & Strategic Direction
• Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Trade Finance, demonstrating superior product and industry knowledge.
• Act as a product champion, demonstrating product features and explaining complex details to clients and internal stakeholders.
• Drive client implementation site activities for Trade.
• Demonstrate superior persuasion and influencing skills to ensure perfect alignment between product management and engineering teams.
Agile Execution & Backlog Management
• Act as an expert in Agile Methodology; translate unstructured or ambiguous client requests into actionable user stories and well-planned work units.
• Own and manage the product backlog, prioritizing continuously to ensure a minimum of 2-3 iterations (sprints) are always refined and ready for development.
• Engage frequently with development teams to facilitate discussions, provide clarifications, conduct story refinement, and define clear acceptance criteria.
• Validate developed user stories to ensure they meet the defined acceptance criteria and overall business objectives.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Design




• Work collaboratively with client/onsite management and internal staff to meticulously define and prioritize business requirements.
• Routinely collaborate with UX, Architecture, and Engineering teams to navigate complex issues and actively contribute to system design activities and decisions.
• Work with cross-functional teams to deliver critical features and take ownership of the short-term product roadmap.

• Provide continuous knowledge transfer of functional requirements to the development team, assisting them proactively during coding and unit testing phases.
Analysis, Testing & Quality Assurance
• Prepare and maintain comprehensive Requirement Traceability Matrices (RTM).
• Analyze functional designs and write detailed, highly accurate use cases.
• Define and understand Non-Functional Requirements (NFRs) to ensure system robustness.




• Lead test strategy formulation to ensure the developed system meets both stated and implied client needs; work closely with QA teams on test planning, scripting, and execution.
• Conduct expert-level Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and troubleshooting for complex system issues.
• Demonstrate expert skill in problem decomposition, utilizing an analytical and creative approach to solution design in dynamic environments.
Other:
• Support Automation initiatives (when needed)
• Support Brown Bag Sessions and KM initiatives

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
Must to have Skills-

1. Experience: 10+ years of proven Business Analysis and Domain Expert experience in the Trade Finance
2. Education: MBA/CA, Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
3. Technical Acumen: Robust foundational knowledge of modern IT architectures, and software engineering practices.
4. Ecosystem Knowledge: Proven experience navigating the Bangalore IT talent landscape and working effectively in a global, matrixed delivery model.
Expert in International Trade Finance covering LCs, Collections, SCF, Trade Loan, GTEE, DocTrade etc
• SME in Business Analysis & Lead test strategy (Test Strategies/Test Cases/Script Development, Test Analysis/ Execution/Triages/Replication of issues, Validation of Defects)

Good to have Skills-
• End to End Functional Expertise, Testing and Design Capabilities
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts to non-technical business leaders.
