Job Description
We are an Australian home solutions company headquartered in Melbourne, operating under Smartek Solutions Pty Ltd trading as Zero Energy Australia. We sell government-rebated energy upgrade products — solar panels, battery storage, ducted HVAC systems, and water filtration — to Australian homeowners across Victoria.
Our Noida office handles all customer operations, sales support, and business coordination. We are now building out our finance function in Noida and are looking for a sharp, detail-oriented Accounts & Finance Executive to own the day-to-day accounting, bookkeeping, and financial reporting for the India office — with exposure to Australian compliance and cross-border financial coordination.
This is a learning role. If you are organised, numerate, genuinely interested in accounting, and want to build your career in an international business environment — this is the right place to start.
Bookkeeping and daily accounting
- Maintain accurate books of accounts on a daily basis
- Record all financial transactions — income, expenses, payments, and receipts
- Reconcile bank statements with accounting records on a weekly basis
- Maintain petty cash records and expense logs
- Ensure all entries are correctly coded to the right cost centres
Accounts payable and receivable
- Raise and track invoices for customer payments
- Follow up on outstanding payments and maintain an aged receivables report
- Process vendor and supplier payments on time
- Maintain a clear payables schedule — nothing falls due without advance notice
Cash flow management
- Maintain a weekly cash flow tracker
- Flag any cash flow concerns to the team leader or management in advance
- Provide a monthly cash position summary
Financial reporting
- Prepare monthly profit and loss summary
- Maintain and update the balance sheet on a monthly basis
- Prepare ledger summaries for each account category
- Support preparation of monthly management reports for Melbourne HQ
Zoho Books and Xero
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations within Zoho Books
- Support reconciliation and data cross-referencing with Xero (used by the Australian team)
- Ensure both systems are updated accurately and consistently
- Flag any discrepancies between the two platforms immediately
Compliance and documentation
- Maintain organised digital and physical records of all financial documents
- Support GST filing and TDS compliance for the India office
- Ensure all statutory deadlines are met — no late filings
- Maintain employee expense records and reimbursement logs
Coordination with Melbourne HQ
- Provide financial updates and reports to Melbourne management on a weekly basis
- Respond to finance queries from the Australian team within 24 hours
- Maintain a shared finance tracker accessible to both Noida and Melbourne
