Role Summary:

The EHS Officer will be responsible for implementing, monitoring, and improving Workplace, Health & Safety (EHS) systems to ensure compliance with statutory regulations and company policies. The role focuses on creating a secure workplace, minimising environmental impact, and promoting a strong safety culture across the organisation.

Role & responsibilities:

Environment:
Ensure compliance with environmental laws and regulations (CPCB, SPCB, pollution control norms).
Monitor effluent treatment plant (ETP), emissions, waste management, and hazardous waste disposal.
Maintain environmental documentation, records, and statutory registers.
Coordinate with external agencies for environmental audits and inspections.

Health & Safety:
Implement safety policies, SOPs, and protected work practices.
Conduct regular safety audits, inspections,



and risk assessments (HIRA, JSA).
Investigate accidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions; prepare reports and corrective actions.
Ensure proper use of PPE and conduct safety training and mock drills.
Monitor occupational health, emergency preparedness, and fire safety systems.
Support ISO 45001 / OHSAS requirements.

Compliance & Documentation:
Ensure compliance with Factory Act, MSIHC Rules, Hazardous Waste Rules, and other applicable laws.
Liaison with government authorities, inspectors, and auditors.
Prepare and submit statutory returns and reports on time.
Maintain MSDS, safety permits, and legal compliance trackers.
