Summary
The Sr. Layout Engineer plans, designs, and drafts schematics and layouts of printed circuit boards. The Sr. Layout Engineer also helps guide other Layout Engineers on design related issues.

Essential Functions
Designs or drafts System or ATE layouts of printed circuit boards per engineering specifications.
Communicates with engineering staff and Layout Services Manager to resolve design details and issues.
Analyzes engineering design schematics and supporting documents to plan the layout of PCB components and printed circuitry.
Drafts detailed drawings and composes master layout of design components and circuitry.
Review existing PCB designs and recommends improvements.
Recommends recent design techniques to ensure circuit reliability and quality.
Assists in development of test plans and development of test procedures and fixtures.
Provides support to PCB engineering and manufacturing units when needed.
Develops prototypes for design verification.
Prepares PCB layouts plus fabrication and assembly drawings.
Monitors and reports project status to Layout Services Manager on regular basis.
Ensures that PCB design meets project requirements.




Guides PCB design team on complex design issues.

Required & Preferred Education/Experience/Skills
Associates degree in electrical engineering or related field and/or on-the-job training within the electronics industry. Bachelors Degree or higher preferred.
5+ years experience in ATE PCB layout experience, Load boards, Probe cards.
Experience working with Concept HDL, Allegro PCB Editor, Altium.
Experience in handling 93k, ETS800 tester platform added advantage.
Knowledge of Electronics design and manufacturing methods.
Knowledge of Software Design and testing methods.
Knowledge of Mechanical Design and fabrication methods.
Knowledge of IPC standards and how they are applied.
