Role: Principal Data Engineer / Data Platform Architect (SAP HANA + Databricks)

Location: Bellandur, Bangalore

Work Mode: 4 5 Days/Week Onsite

Experience: 14 18+ Years

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Data Engineer / Data Platform Architect with solid expertise in SAP HANA, Databricks, and up-to-date cloud-based data platforms. This is a 100% hands-on architecture and engineering role for candidates who can design, build, optimize, and scale enterprise-grade data platforms while actively contributing to development.

The ideal candidate will have deep experience in data architecture, large-scale data engineering, data modernization, SAP ecosystem integration, and cloud-native analytics platforms.

Must-Have Skills:
15+ years of Data Engineering / Data Platform experience
Strong hands-on Azure Databricks (Spark, PySpark, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog)
Strong SAP data integration experience ( SAP HANA preferred; S/4HANA, ECC, BW/4HANA, SAP BW, or other ERP also acceptable )




Experience building enterprise Lakehouse architectures
Solid data modeling (Kimball, Fact/Dimension, SCD)
Hands-on Spark performance tuning (data skew, partitioning, AQE, broadcast joins, optimization)
Architecture and solution design experience
Able to work independently with minimal guidance ("no babysitting")
Experience designing reusable data products and enterprise data platforms
Excellent stakeholder communication
