Purpose: To ensure safe plant operations during assigned shifts by implementing safety systems, monitoring compliance with statutory requirements, and proactively preventing incidents.

Key Responsibilities:
Monitor and ensure safe operations during the assigned shift across plant. Conduct regular safety rounds and identify unsafe acts/conditions; ensure timely corrective actions.
Enforce safety rules, SOPs, work permits, and PPE compliance on the shop floor.
Issue and monitor Permit to Work (Hot Work, Confined Space, Height Work etc).
Ensure secure startup, shutdown, and emergency handling during shift operations.
Conduct preliminary incident investigation and reporting. Ensure immediate corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Monitor contractor activities for adherence to safety standards. Ensure contractor safety compliance and toolbox talks before commencement of work.




Monitor handling, storage, and transfer of hazardous chemicals. Ensure compliance with MSDS, labeling, and chemical compatibility norms.
Promote safety culture and employee engagement in safety initiatives.

Robust understanding of chemical and process safety
Knowledge of hazardous chemicals and emergency response
Valuable communication and coordination skills
Ability to work independently in shift operations
High safety awareness and decision-making ability

Qualification: B.E./B.Tech. with Diploma in Industrial Safety

Nature of Experience:

3 to 7 years of safety experience in chemical or process manufacturing
