Manager/ Sr. Manager -Procurement (Raw Material)

Job description
Responsible for direct procurement of pharmaceutical raw materials (APIs & Excipients) for both domestic and export markets.
Execute strategic and volume-based purchases with robust negotiation skills to secure the best terms.
Negotiate prices, payment terms, and supply conditions with vendors for regular raw material purchases.
Review pending orders and follow up to ensure timely dispatch and delivery of materials, aligning with production schedules.
Monitor approvals and rejections of materials in coordination with the quality team.
Conduct monthly material planning, inventory management, and address non-moving inventory.



Regularly review and monitor MRP to prevent under- or over-procurement.
Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly procurement plans based on production requirements.
Identify and develop current vendors while maintaining and updating the vendor database.
Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to ensure smooth procurement operations.
Build and maintain robust relationships with existing vendors.
Monitor procurement budgets and ensure cost-effective purchasing practices.
