JOB DESCRIPTION

Role Overview

Design, implement, and execute manual and automated tests for Time Master and Wake-Up Monitor (WUM) software to ensure functional correctness, robustness, and release readiness through traceable verification and solid automation in CI.

Key Responsibilities

Create and maintain test cases and automated test suites

Validate software behavior against requirements; support requirements-to-test traceability and test evidence

Develop test configurations, test data, and test utilities; ensure tests are reproducible locally and in CI.

Execute test cycles (smoke/regression) and analyze failures using logs, traces, and debugging artifacts; provide clear defect reports.

Collaborate with developers and QA define testable acceptance criteria.

EXPERTISE AND QUALIFICATIONS

Technical Expertise

Test frameworks: experience with Google Test/Google Mock (or equivalent) and test design patterns (fixtures, parameterized tests).

Automation: solid Python skills for test automation, tooling.

CI/CD: practical experience running tests in pipelines (e.g., Jenkins; GitHub Actions is a plus) and using Git workflows.

Debugging:



comfortable with Linux-based debugging and failure analysis.

Defect management: experience with defect tracking and writing high-quality bug reports.

Competencies & Skills

Robust analytical thinking and attention to detail; systematic approach to test case design.

Good documentation and communication skills (test specs, results summaries, defect reports).

Collaborative mindset and ownership for driving issues to closure.

Proactive learning and adaptability in an automotive/embedded workplace.

Nice to Have

Codebeamer (or similar ALM tools like Polarion) for test specs and traceability.

Network/protocol testing exposure (CAN/Ethernet basics, Wireshark/tcpdump).

Familiarity with automotive QM development processes and release/integration workflows.
