Role & responsibilities
Receive materials from suppliers and verify quantities, specifications, and documentation against purchase orders and delivery challans.
Inspect received materials for visible damage and coordinate with the Quality department for incoming inspection where applicable.
Store materials in designated locations following FIFO/FEFO principles and company procedures.
Issue materials to Production and other departments against authorized material requisitions.
Record all material receipts, issues, returns, and transfers in the ERP system or stock registers.
Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure stock accuracy.
Assist in daily stock verification, cycle counts, and annual physical stock-taking.
Identify and report shortages, excess stock, slow-moving, and obsolete inventory.
Maintain proper labeling, identification, and traceability of stored materials.
Coordinate with Procurement, Planning,



Production, and Quality to ensure timely material availability.
Maintain positive housekeeping and implement 5S practices in the stores area.
Follow safety procedures while handling materials and operating material handling equipment.
Assist in preparing inventory and stock reports as required.
Safeguard company materials and ensure proper storage conditions. 15. Perform any other stores-related duties assigned by the supervisor.

Preferred candidate profile

Knowledge of stores and inventory management processes. Understanding of FIFO/FEFO inventory methods.

Basic ERP or inventory software skills.

Ability to prepare and maintain stock records.

Familiarity with material handling and storage practices.
