5+ years of backend development experience with Go, Rust, or C++
Deep understanding of distributed systems, consensus algorithms, and data replication
Robust command of data structures, algorithms, and systems-level performance optimization
Experience with database internals, storage engines, or query optimizers is highly valued
Familiarity with gRPC, Protocol Buffers, and high-performance networking
Track record of building and shipping reliable, production-grade distributed systems
Design and implement core database engine components including storage, indexing, and query execution
Build and optimize distributed consensus, replication, and sharding layers for horizontal scalability
Profile and optimize performance-critical code paths for throughput and latency
