Role & responsibilities

Position: Production Manager Garment Manufacturing

Experience:

Minimum 5 years in a Production Manager role.

Experience in both knit and woven garments is essential.

Experience with overdyed, garment-dyed and garment-washed products preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and achieve daily, weekly and monthly production targets.

Manage cutting, sewing, washing, finishing and packing departments.

Ensure on-time delivery while maintaining quality standards.

Improve productivity, reduce rejections and control production costs.

Monitor line efficiency, WIP and bottlenecks.

Coordinate with merchandising, quality, washing, maintenance and stores departments.

Ensure compliance with buyer quality requirements and SOPs.

Train and develop production supervisors and line leaders.

Maintain production reports, efficiency reports and MIS.

Implement Lean manufacturing, 5S and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Skills:





Strong leadership and team management ability.

Excellent production planning and problem-solving skills.

Valuable knowledge of industrial engineering concepts such as line balancing, SMV and capacity planning.

Hands-on experience in garment washing and finishing processes.

Ability to work under pressure and meet delivery schedules.

Valuable communication and computer skills (Excel, ERP preferred).

Education:

Degree/Diploma in Garment Technology, Textile Technology, Apparel Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering preferred.

Preferred Candidate:

Experience handling factories producing fashion garments for domestic brands and export buyers.

Exposure to compliance standards and productivity improvement projects.
