Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Hedge Accounting Qualified with 5–10 years of relevant experience in hedge accounting, financial reporting, and derivative accounting. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of hedge accounting principles under IFRS 9, IAS 39, or ASC 815 (US GAAP) and experience managing hedge relationships, effectiveness testing, and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities
Perform hedge accounting activities in accordance with IFRS 9, IAS 39, or ASC 815.
Execute hedge designation, documentation, and ongoing hedge effectiveness testing.
Manage accounting for derivatives, foreign exchange (FX), interest rate, and commodity hedging instruments.
Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reports related to hedge accounting.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal control requirements.
Coordinate with Treasury, Risk Management, and Finance teams to support hedging strategies.
Analyze hedge performance and resolve accounting discrepancies.




Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation.
Participate in process improvements and automation initiatives.

Required Skills
Strong hands-on experience in Hedge Accounting.
Good understanding of IFRS 9, IAS 39, or ASC 815 (US GAAP).
Experience with derivatives, FX, interest rate swaps, and cash flow/fair value hedges.
Knowledge of financial reporting and month-end close processes.
Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Workday is preferred.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
CA, CPA, ACCA, or CFA certification is an added advantage.

Preferred Experience
5–10 years of experience in hedge accounting or treasury accounting.
Experience in multinational organizations or shared service centers.
Exposure to financial instruments and risk management practices.
